ATLANTA, GA--VT Griffin, a wholly owned subsidiary of VT Services, a defense logistics, communications, and support services provider, is proud to announce its recognition as the U.S. Army-wide Directorate of Public Works (DPW) Support Contractor of the Year for support at the Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia Installation. The recognition honors excellence in contractual accomplishment and support of the installation's DPW mission. The awards ceremony took place on April 8, 2008 at the IMCOM Multi-Functional Training Conference.Since the contract's inception nearly seven years ago, VT Griffin has been an integral provider at Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield. They have expanded their role at the Installation, through special project work and upgrading initiatives, from an annual DPW-projected contract of $200,000 to over $52 million in project work.Michael D.
