Joe Ayers

Joe Ayers is Vice President for Hewlett-Packard Company’s U.S. Federal Enterprise Group. In this role, Mr. Ayers is responsible for growing our U.S. Federal business, extending our reach through our partners, promoting private cloud opportunities, and driving Technology Services and Consulting solutions.
Mr. Ayers joined HP in 2013 from Dell, where he spent 13 years in various management roles in Dell’s Federal organization, including most recently, Vice President and General Manager. In this position, Mr. Ayers managed Dell’s U.S. Federal business, including sales, marketing, integration of new acquisitions, customer experience, services, and government relations.
While running Dell’s Federal business for two years, Mr. Ayers also served as Chairman of the company’s Employee Support Group for Military Veterans and Wounded Warriors to assist current Guard and Reserve employees and veterans. In addition, he led Dell’s Rugged Business and the global plan to triple sales.
Prior to joining Dell, Mr. Ayers held various leadership positions with the U.S. Army as an aviation officer. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. His military training includes Flight School, Ranger, Airborne and Air Assault.
Mr. Ayers resides in Oakton, Virginia with his wife, Lisa and their three children, Austin, Ashley and Alex.
