John Banghart
John Banghart currently serves as the Director for Federal Cybersecurity in the Cybersecurity Directorate of the White House National Security Council (NSC) staff, where he focuses on issues related to US government cybersecurity management, governance, and technology implementation. Prior to joining the NSC, John was a Cybersecurity Program and Policy Analyst at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), where he also served as the Program Manager for the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP). Prior to joining NIST, John was an Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton and the Director for Security Benchmark Development at the Center for Internet Security, as well as several other system, network, and cybersecurity management positions in the private sector.
