Continuous Diagnostics & Mitigation (CDM)

Federal agency implementation of the first phases of CDM is in full swing with initial task orders awarded and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) deadlines rolling. Leveraging CDM tools and practices will help agencies advance cyber risk-assessments and is widely recognized as a step in the right direction for improved government-wide cyber protection. But there is more work to be done and questions remain. How will agency budgets need to be restructured to accommodate the cost of the program? Which actions of CDM will have the greatest impact on the decision-making process? What agency expectations of the CDM program have been met to date? What is still needed to ensure the CDM program succeeds in the long term?
