Rep. Gerry Connolly, D-Va., is offering an amendment to the Financial Services and General Government Appropriations Act (HR 3351) that would boost the FY2020 budget for the Technology Modernization Fund by $15 million, to a total of $50 million.

The full House is scheduled to consider H.R. 3351 sometime this week, but whether Rep. Connolly’s amendment receives consideration on the House floor is up to the House Rules Committee, a spokesperson from the congressman’s office confirmed today. The Rules Committee could take action today or tomorrow.

HR 3351 currently proposes $35 million of TMF funding for FY2020, a far cry from the White House’s $150 million request. The TMF received $25 million for FY2019.
