The Department of Defense’s (DoD) Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) has named Dr. Diba Hadi as its new Principal Director of the Cyber Academic Engagement Office (CAEO).

In her new role, Hadi will oversee several key programs, including the DoD Cyber Service Academy, the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity, the National Defense University College for Information and Cyberspace, the University Consortium for Cybersecurity, Senior Military Colleges, and the Virtual Institutes for Cyber and Electromagnetic Spectrum Research and Employment.

Hadi brings to the role over 30 years of experience in higher education and program development.

Most recently she served as the senior academic and project management advisor at the Federal Bureau of Investigation where she provided strategic academic guidance, led professional development initiatives, and managed accreditation standards.

The CAEO, established by the DoD CIO on June 12, serves as the primary coordination point for cyber-related initiatives between the Department and academic stakeholders.
