The Department of Energy (DoE) has appointed Chris “Rocky” Campione Chief Information Officer, according to the agency’s website.

He succeeds Max Everett, who became CIO at DoE in 2017. Everett recently left the position to become vice president and CIO of the 2020 Republican National Convention.

Campione was named Principal Deputy CIO at DoE earlier this month. Prior to then he was Vice President, Federal Division, at Planet Technologies.

DoE has also appointed Mark Kneidinger to the post of Principal Deputy CIO. He was Deputy Director of the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) National Risk Management Center within DHS’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
