The Federal Cyber Reskilling Academy is on the verge of selecting its first cohort, according to a tweet from Federal CIO Suzette Kent.
“Federal Cyber Reskilling Academy applicants are completing assessments through the end of the day today and we look forward to having the inaugural class begin April 15th!” tweeted Kent.

She also noted that in total, the academy received over 1,500 applications over the 50 days that the application period was open. Nearly half of the applicants to the program were between level GS-5 and GS-11.
While the program may have received over 1,500 applications, it will only accept around 25 people, according to the initial announcement of the program.
