The General Services Administration (GSA) has named Eric Mill executive director for cloud strategy at GSA’s Technology Transformation Services (TTS) organization.

TTS operates within GSA to design and deliver digital government services, and it includes several technology development organizations including 18F, IT Modernization Centers of Excellence, Presidential Innovation Fellowship, United States Digital Corps, and TTS Solutions.

Mill is joining GSA from the Office of the Federal Chief Information Officer within the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), where he has been a senior advisor since early 2021. During that time, Mill played key roles in support of the Federal Zero Trust Strategy, the Technology Modernization Fund, and the modernization of the FedRAMP (Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program) program.

Before that, Mill was lead product manager for Chrome Security at Google, and in 2019 was a senior tech advisor on election security on the Democratic staff of the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration.

Mill’s new job at GSA also marks something of a homecoming; he was deputy director of Login.gov in 2018, and before that was a senior advisor at 18F and TTS.
