The Internet Association announced today that it hired Elizabeth Banker as VP and associate general counsel, and Alla Seiffert as cloud policy director and counsel. Banker will focus on consumer privacy, intermediary liability, and online security issues, while Seiffert will focus on the Internet Association’s cloud policy priorities and enterprise policy positions. Banker most recently served as senior director and associate general counsel for Global Law Enforcement and Safety at Twitter. Seiffert was previously with the Government Services Administration’s Technology Transformation Service and 18F. “We are excited to have Elizabeth and Alla join our team to expand our policy expertise and improve our ability to advocate on key policy priorities that are top of mind for members,” said Jon Berroya, IA SVP and general counsel. “Elizabeth and Alla both bring years of experience on issues ranging from data protection and intermediary liability to cloud computing and government IT modernization.”
