Joyce E. Corell has been appointed as the new acting deputy national cyber director for technology and ecosystem.
Corell’s career spans work at both at the National Counterintelligence and Security Center and Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and has focused on defensive and offensive computer network operations.
At NCSC, Corell spearheaded efforts to mitigate supply chain risks. In a FedTech interview, Corell explained that “supply chain risk management is not an intellectually difficult concept to understand. But when you talk about it across government organizations, it’s bureaucratically difficult to comprehend how to do it well.”
Her most recent work has involved working on some of the semiconductor supply chain disruptions that have been affecting both civilian and military operations.
Corell graduated from the College of William and Mary with bachelor’s in political science and received a master’s in National Security Strategy from The National War College.
