The third annual Tech Yeah networking and economic development conference is bringing top Federal government IT leaders to the expanding regional tech hub of Morgantown, W.Va., on June 20. Tech Yeah, founded by Brandon Downey and Randy Cottle of Trilogy Innovations, aims to make the connection between how Mountain State companies are delivering essential technology services to meet the growing demands of Federal agencies all across the country.
Tech Yeah 2024 is your chance to network with top IT, security, and procurement officials from these agencies about their technology needs, and how they see requirements evolving in their annual tech spend which runs into the tens of billions per year. What are some of the top reasons to roll out to Morgantown on June 20? “The best reason to come out for Tech Yeah is probably the speakers,” said Cottle, President of Trilogy Innovations. “Going back to the pandemic, it was really hard to contact and arrange face-to-face meetings with some government officials to understand their focus areas and priorities.”
“At Tech Yeah, we have some great people who have committed to this year’s conference. We have top officials from NIH, DHS, CISA, CMS, and FBI to name a few. We also have industry-changing leaders from academia to top technology-based companies.,” Cottle said. “You’re not only going to hear what these people have to say but you’re going to be able to talk to them and create relationships.”
“What we’re trying to do is create opportunities, because without opportunities, there’s no competition,” he said. “This is all about networking. It doesn’t matter if you’re large or small – all organizations need to find good small businesses to meet your requirements. So that is what this is really all about.”
“You will get closer to not just the ones that are the decision makers, but also the government officials that are going to give you a better understanding of the actual roadmap for various agencies,” said Downey, Trilogy’s CEO.
“One thing that most people should realize is that we have a lot of major agencies within a few-mile radius of the conference itself,” Downey said, citing the Morgantown area presence of the FBI, and the departments of Energy and Defense, among others.
“You’re going to get firsthand information about what those agencies are trying to achieve as it relates to technology,” he said. “So for example the big buzz today is going to be AI – how does AI affect cybersecurity, how does cybersecurity impact policies that agencies are creating and implementing? You’re going to get first-hand information on where agencies actually want to go.”
