FITARA Scorecard 10.0 Shows Impressive Improvements

FITARA is a fixture in Federal IT and remains an important measure of how agencies are prioritizing modernization. The scorecard, released twice annually, has seen steady improvements by most agencies over the past five years, but the latest iteration, version 10.0 marks the first time no agency earned lower than a “C-” overall grade.

Since 2018, MeriTalk has honored those who have received high marks on the FITARA scorecard. The FITARA Awards are the only awards program based on GAO data. View photos and coverage from the February 2020 FITARA Awards program, based on scorecard 9.0.

While we cannot honor these winners at an in-person ceremony, we will recognize them at the next live ceremony. From Rep. Gerry Connolly, D-Va., chairman of the House Government Operations Subcommittee, “Congratulations to this year’s winners. This past July marked the 10th FITARA oversight hearing in the last five years, and the first time that all 24 agencies that participate in the FITARA Scorecard received passing grades. Since the Scorecard’s inception, agencies have made substantial, positive strides in improving their information technology practices.”
