Is Your Government Future Ready? 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.

The world is changing fast because of the rapid pace of technology innovation. Computing trends, such as rich internet, smart devices, and cloud-based applications, have transformed the way people interact and work. As a result, expectations about the ways in which governments deliver services to their citizens are also rapidly changing as technology advances. This means that government organizations risk becoming irrelevant unless they are able to react quickly to changing market dynamics. At Dell, we believe that all technology regardless of the vendor should not just allow for change, but should be ready for it. Every bit of hardware, software, or service in which you invest should integrate seamlessly into your existing environment and be flexible enough to adapt to any future requirements. We call this idea the Future Ready government. In this session, we’ll share how Dell is uniquely positioned to deliver on this vision.

Cloud-Based Solutions for Mission-Centric Operations: 1 – 2 p.m.

Off premise commercial cloud solutions can have significant cost benefits for Federal agencies. However, there are times where alternatives to off premise cloud solutions should be considered to address complex interdependencies between mission tasks – particularly when some applications are not cloud-ready. In this session, learn about options including EPA’s Cloud Readiness assessment process. We’ll discuss considerations agencies should take into account to determine the best solution – whether off premise, on premise private, or hybrid cloud – to help achieve real economic savings, increase capacity on-demand, and drive innovation and results in the mission environment.

Connected to the enterprise and the cloud, tomorrow’s virtual clients punch way above their weight. How are agencies reimagining their endpoint strategies to unleash new levels of productivity? How does cloud transformation enable new, diverse platform horizons? How do you guard against cyber threats that can hit any time anywhere? What’s the endpoint endgame?

How Your Agency Can Make IT Modernization Work: 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.

In the U.S. government, IT running costs devour up to 80 percent of IT budgets. What if agencies could drive this number down to 50 percent or less by next year? It’s time to flip the 80/20, spending 80 percent on innovation and 20 percent on legacy, and roll out IT modernization methodology within agency data centers. Let’s discuss how to leave a lasting legacy.
