Colonel Bobby Saxon, USA Retired, is the Acting Director for Emergency Preparedness & Response Operations, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Colonel Saxon was previously the Chief Technology Officer for Healthcare.gov.
Colonel Saxon holds a graduate degree in Government Information Leadership, w/CIO concentration, and an undergraduate Bachelor of Business Administration in Management degree. Colonel Saxon was recently recognized for his IT leadership with the 2019 FCW Federal 100 Award, the 2019 AFCEA Innovate IT Stewardship award, and the 2019 FedHealth IT Innovation Award. Colonel Saxon’s military awards include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, and the Combat Action Badge.
