Clifton G. Douglas Jr. is an Assistant Director in the Government Accountability Office’s (GAO) Strategic Issues team where he helps manage the team’s work on federal human capital issues. Mr. Douglas has served for over 30 years in GAO, where he has led a variety of engagements on federal telework, strategic planning, federal training investments, and federal diversity, equity, and inclusion issues. Most recently, Mr. Douglas is managing GAO’s ongoing work examining federal agencies’ use of telework in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout his tenure at GAO, Mr. Douglas has been recognized with numerous GAO-wide and Strategic Issues awards for Meritorious Service, Mentoring Excellence, and Community Service.
