Conrad Bovell

Conrad Bovell serves as the Branch Chief, Cybersecurity Advisory and Strategy in the Office of the CIO at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. He recently joined HHS in Nov 2022, but before that he served as the Director of Information System Security (DISS) within the Office of Financial Management (OFM) at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Mr. Bovell came to CMS in 2016 from the Defense Security Service (DSS) where he served as the Chief of Computer Network Defense. He is also a retired Army Reserve, Signal Corps, Warrant Officer who served in the IRAQ war conducting cybersecurity assessments at Forward Operating Bases (FOB) all over the country.
Additionally, as a DoD civilian, he has occupied various technical roles with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and the Counterintelligence Field Activity (CIFA).
