David Bailey
Veritas
David Bailey serves as the Senior Director for the US Public Sector Engineering team at Veritas. He is responsible for the technical positioning, alignment and development of technologies relevant to the US Public Sector. His scope covers providing advice on
topics covering cloud, big data, critical data protection, data security and infrastructure visibility.
Previously he has managed the US Public Mission Critical Systems Converged Systems businesses for US Public Sector (SLED and FED) at Hewlett Packard Enterprise as well as managing the overall US Army and Air Force teams. He also has served as a Presales Director for Oracle Engineered Systems covering the US Department of Defense. Additionally, he worked for Dell Technologies in a variety of roles covering enterprise systems and storage.
He is a US Army veteran, having served for 23 years in a variety of specialties covering Intelligence, Logistics, Acquisition, Special Operations, and Cyber Warfare. He served as special technical advisor to the Army Chief of Staff and assisted in standing up the US Army Intranet portal system and PKI system while at the Pentagon. He has been deployed in multiple conflict zones internationally, both as a military participant and later as a military technology advisor.
