Don Tweedie is the Deputy Chief Information Officer of Technology Delivery (DCIO-TD) at the Federal Communications Commission – the government agency responsible for regulating interstate and international communication by radio, television, wire, and satellite for the United States and its territories.
As DCIO-TD, Don focuses on delivering technical capabilities to meet evolving business needs in an agile and secure approach. In addition to his technical leadership in the disciplines Cloud Modernization, Application Development and Service Management, he focuses on delivering cost effective solutions of the agencies IT systems and initiatives, while also ensuring proper cybersecurity compliance. In addition, Don and his team place customer experience in the forefront of service delivery by building strong relationships with customers and ensuring their satisfaction.
Having previously served as a Branch Chief for the U.S. Census Bureau, and boasting a wealth of experience in virtualization engineering and solutions architecture, Don is uniquely positioned to usher the FCC into a new era of technological innovation and operational efficiency. With his 24 years of industry experience, Don is regarded as a values-driven leader, who fosters a culture of excellence and drives crucial initiatives to bolster organizational success. As the IT capabilities and demands of the Commission grow, his focus is on delivering emerging technologies and modernization strategies to enhance the IT infrastructure of the FCC and better serve its constituents.
