Doug Bourgeois

Doug Bourgeois joined Deloitte Consulting as a Managing Director in the Federal Technology Strategy & Architecture practice in 2015. In this role, he serves as the Cloud Computing Leader for the Federal sector.
Bourgeois previously worked at VMware, where he served as Vice President of End User Computing and previously as Chief Cloud Executive for Public Sector. With 25 years of experience, he has had leadership roles on multiple projects including VMware’s FedRAMP infrastructure and AirWatch mobility cloud services.
Doug has broad shared services and IT leadership experience within the government. Bourgeois previously served as the Executive Director of the National Business Center (NBC) at the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) and the Chief Information Officer at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. At the DOI/NBC, Bourgeois led the only Federal shared services center that was authorized to provide Financial Management, Human Capital Management, Payroll and IT Security services within the government-wide Centers of Excellence initiative. Bourgeois also led the Paperless Patent Processing initiative at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and earned the Commerce Department’s Gold Medal award for his transformational leadership on this initiative. Prior to joining the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, Doug served as the Managing Director of Global Customer Service Technology at FedEx. Doug is also a two-time recipient of the Fed100 leadership award.
Doug holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Cal Poly University and a Masters of Business Administration from Tulane University.
