Gary Wang

Dr. Gary Wang has over 20 years of professional experience working in large-scale IT programs for U.S. and global public sector clients. He has deep expertise in cloud, IT infrastructure services, cybersecurity, and health IT solutions in the federal market.

Before joining Unisys, Dr. Wang was the Chief Technology Officer in the IBM Global Business Services Cyber and Biometrics practices, leading cybersecurity and biometrics solutions innovation and integration. He led IBM’s win of the Army Private Cloud contract. Prior to IBM, he worked for Lockheed Martin IS&GS, where he served in several roles, including Chief Technology Officer and Program Management Director. Through the four years of his tenure at the Lockheed Martin IS&GS CTO office, he led Lockheed Martin teams in winning multiple corporate priority business captures, including a combined value of over $1B at CMS, a $23B VA T4NG IDIQ contract, and five other large contract wins at over $100M each. Prior to joining the ISGS CTO Office, as the program management executive, he turned around a large Lockheed Martin’s IT service contract from red to green, achieved sole-source extension, and won the contract re-compete.

Dr. Wang received a Ph.D. in Chemistry with research focus on Computation Chemistry and Biophysics from California Institute of Technology. In his early career, he was a biomedical researcher and held multiple patents in HIV AIDS therapeutics and advanced biomaterials.
