Matt Tait

Matt Tait serves as ManTech’s Chief Executive Officer and President, responsible for leading the company’s global business strategies that enable ManTech to deliver, at speed, differentiating solutions to meet the sophisticated needs of the company’s diverse customer base. A leader who embodies decency, courage and patriotism, Mr. Tait is instrumental in achieving ManTech’s goals to safeguard the nation by driving innovation and technology to advance the defense, intelligence and federal civilian missions, exceeding customer expectations and Securing the Future®.

Mr. Tait joined ManTech in June 2018 as a key executive responsible for delivering a broad range of engineering, technology and digital services that enable the mission advancement of our national security and federal civilian customers. Under Mr. Tait’s leadership, ManTech expanded and repositioned the company’s Department of Defense and federal civilian businesses to align with the company’s strategy of Bringing Digital to the Mission®.

His teams use data-driven intelligence to accomplish many missions, from training next-generation cyberwarriors to ensuring the safety of the nation’s borders and military perimeters, providing expertise in critical and high-end geospatial imagery analysis and science, and leveraging deployed digital platforms that ensure top-flight medical care for millions of service members, veterans and their families anywhere on the planet.

Mr. Tait joined ManTech following two decades with Accenture, where he led key initiatives that transformed IT performance for customers in the defense, federal civilian, health care and financial sectors.

He is Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Operation Renewed Hope Foundation, a group dedicated to ending veteran homelessness, and supports Boulder Crest Retreat Foundation, which provides mental health care for troops, veterans and their families dealing with PTSD and combat-related stress.

Mr. Tait was named to ExecutiveMosaic’s “Wash100” in 2023 and WashingtonExec’s list of “Top 35 Execs to Watch” in 2022. Previously, he was named to “Top 10 National Security Executives to Watch” in 2018, and is a 2016 Federal Computer Week Fed100 winner for leading the rescue of Healthcare.gov.

A veteran, Mr. Tait served for 10 years in the U.S. Navy and earned a Bachelor of Science in political science and government from the U.S. Naval Academy.
