Micah Czigan
Department of Energy
Mr. Micah Czigan serves as the Associate Deputy Chief Information Officer for Cybersecurity where he is responsible for managing the Cybersecurity program of the Department of Energy (DOE). The cybersecurity program includes FISMA reporting, Cybersecurity Operations and
reporting via the iJC3 (Integrated Joint Cybersecurity Coordination Center), Cyber Risk Management, Cybersecurity Assessments, Policies, and Cybersecurity Training and Awareness.
Prior to joining the Department of Energy, Mr. Czigan was the Chief of Cyber Risk Management at the Washington Headquarters Services, Joint Service Provider (JSP) at the Pentagon. Prior to this role Mr. Czigan was the Chief of the Enterprise Service Desk for the Pentagon, and was the
IT/AV lead in the building out of the Pentagon Integrated Emergency Operations Center (IEOC). Mr. Czigan also served as the Deputy Chief of Enterprise Systems Management at the Joint Staff Support Center (JSSC) Pentagon with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).
Mr. Czigan served in the United States Navy as a Cryptologic Technician – Operator (CTO). His tours included the Naval Cryptologic Training Command at Correy Station, in Pensacola, Florida, and the US Navy Destroyer, USS Oldendorf (DD-972) homeported in San Diego, Ca.
where he was attached to the Tactical Intelligence Communications unit.
Mr. Czigan earned a Master of Information Systems and Management degree from the University of Phoenix, and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at the National Defense University (NDU). Mr. Czigan is also a Certified Information Systems
Security Professional (CISSP).
