Micah Haan is the IT Cybersecurity Specialist (DSCS Social Engineering Team Lead) at Social Security Administration (SSA).
Under Micah’s leadership, the quality and dedication of his work around the creation and execution of an impressive and successful phishing simulation programs, Micah is keeping SSA employees vigilant and informed so that they do not fall prey to malicious phishing emails attacks that could compromise the SSA.
Micah has successfully increased the frequency and efficiency of the SSA phishing simulation program and reduced the susceptibility to phishing attacks of the SSA employees by nearly 20% and increased reporting by 30% over the life of the program. He kept PhishMe approved for use in SSA’s constant more demanding world.
An example of Micah’s commitment to the SSA is last year’s SSA transition to using the FedRAMP Moderate version of Cofense PhishMe. Not only did he ensure the transition got executed in a very smooth way, he also proactively tested the FedRAMP solution and identified adjustments that were needed for Cofense to implement to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of the new phishing scenarios.
