Paul Rossiter

Cisco

Paul Rossiter has been with Cisco since January 1997 and is currently leading the Systems Engineering team for the U.S. Federal Area within the Public Sector sales organization. In his current role, he leads an organization of 150+ engineers who are dedicated to ensuring customer and mission success for Civilian agencies, the Department of Defense, National Security agencies, and the Defense Industrial Base. Paul inspires his team to leverage Cisco’s commitment to innovation; drive solution-based architectures; and own customer success. This approach has led his team to provide greater customer value and achieve trusted-advisor status.

Preceding his current role, Paul was the Systems Engineering Director for National Security Operation and the Civilian Agency Operation. Prior to joining Cisco Federal, he held several engineering leadership positions within Cisco that focused on Mid-Atlantic Enterprise customers and the Washington, D.C. Metro Commercial marketspace. Paul began his career at Cisco as a Systems Engineer and achieved his CCIE in March 2000.

In all his engineering leadership roles at Cisco, Paul has led his teams and customers through many disruptive transitions. His focus has always been helping his clients reduce their complexity by automating their networks, assisting in their move to cloud computing, driving advanced security architectures, and improving their over-all communications infrastructure. Paul has always set the highest standards for his engineering teams to deliver technical excellence, drive deep customer relationships, and have an architectural mind-set to solving problems.

Prior to Cisco, Paul held Systems Engineering positions at several Systems Integrators, which included AMS, CEXEC, and RMCI. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master of Business Administration; both from Virginia Tech.
