Phil Fuster

Phil Fuster is the Vice President of Federal at Proofpoint, one of the world’s largest cyber security technology firms. Phil directs the efforts of the Federal organization.

Phil started his career in 1983, when he helped start International Data Products. IDP was a Federal Systems Integrator that manufactured computers and resold IT products and services. Phil joined Steve Jobs, at NeXT Computer, running higher education in the region and later migrating to the Federal Team. He returned to IDP in 1992 and ran program sales through 1998 when the company was sold. He has spent the better part of the last 37 years focused on addressing the mission needs of the Public Sector with technology.

Phil’s career has included start-ups like FedBid.com and Pages Software to running Federal business components within giants like Dell Computer and Computer Sciences Corporation. Phil has spent much of his career within Cyber Security seeing the need to protect much of the infrastructure he helped deploy within the Government. He served as the President of Fortinet Federal, LLC, Vice President, Federal at Imperva, and ran the Public Sector Cyber Sales Organization at Computer Sciences Corporation.

Phil lives in the suburbs of Washington D.C. in Darnestown, MD.
