Rizwan Jan has held several leadership roles in numerous industries and has spent over two decades in the planning, development, delivery, and monitoring of technical solutions that address the needs of Fortune 500 companies and not-for-profit organizations. As the Chief Information Officer for CNA, he is responsible for the establishment and execution of CNA’s IT strategy. He ensures the delivery of all information and technology capabilities required for the successful achievement of CNA’s mission.
Prior to joining CNA, Jan was the CIO and chief information security officer for the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF). During his time with HJF, he guided the development and implementation of an information security program designed to protect systems and assets from internal and external threats. He led a digital transformation of IT service delivery through workflow automation, engagement growth, simplified the technology architecture and investment in IT talent. Jan also worked at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he led the Incident Response team to detect, prevent, and respond to cybersecurity incidents and breaches, mitigating long-term damage.
Jan holds a B.S. in Business Administration in Finance from Frostburg State University and has obtained a variety of technical professional certifications, including the Certified Information Systems and Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Third-Party Risk Professional (CTPRP) from Shared Assessments, and a former Payment Card Industry Professional (PCIP). Jan is a member of the ISACA CSX Working Group. He serves on the Capital CIO Advisory Board, Cyber Security Tribe Executive Advisory Board, Enterprise Mobility Advisory Board, IPQC Enterprise Digitalization Advisory Board, Mid-Atlantic CIO Forum, and the University of South Florida – MUMA College of Business Advisory Committee on Cybersecurity for Executive Education. Jan is also an FBI Citizens Academy member.
