Shahid Qamar is a Cyber Security expert focused in Risk Management, Cyber Hygiene, Cloud Security, Risk-based Analytics, Information Assurance, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, and Hunting.
At Palo Alto Networks, he is the Federal lead for CISA, focusing on current missions and solving complex problems for Federal Civilian Executive Branch Agencies through strategic programs, such as, TIC, CDM, Zero Trust, and others. In his role, Shahid supports technical architects across Federal customers and drives cyber strategy and innovation for programs. Shahid has over 20 years of cybersecurity experience and 10+ years of designing and architecting cyber solutions for Civilian and DoD agencies. Before joining Palo Alto Networks, Shahid was the lead Cyber Architect and Director of Cyber Security Solutions at CGI Federal, where he designed and architected enterprise security solutions. During his time at CGI he built and managed a team of architects and engineers, spearheaded challenges across programs, and developed agile and scalable cyber solutions across federal, commercial, state, and local sectors.
Shahid is an active member with ISC2 and ISACA and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional and Certified Information Security Manager. Shahid holds a B.S. in Decision Sciences and Management Information Systems from George Mason University and a Master of Business Administration from Strayer University.
