Wayne Wooten is the Federal Systems Engineer and key technical resource supporting GDIT and MilCloud2 for Pure Storage. Wayne is based outside of San Antonio, TX and provides a deep technical knowledge of flash storage system architectures that enable business and technological transformation for government enterprises.

A 21-year veteran of the United States Air Force, Wayne has extensive experience in designing, developing, and analyzing advanced technologies in support of the warfighter. He was the head of software development in the Air Force Electronic Warfare Center (AFEWC) and the Air Force Information Warfare Center (AFIWC) Advanced Technology Division.  He was instrumental in Modeling and Simulation, anti-missile technology development, and Directed Energy Research and Development.  He was responsible for Electronic Warfare target selection for the initial phase of Desert Storm.  For the past 20 years since the Air Force, Wayne has focused on how new and emerging data technologies that can enable more rapid and cost-efficient analysis of ever-growing bodies of data and how to make the information actionable for the warfighter.
