Google Public Sector

Will Grannis was appointed CEO of Google Public Sector in June 2022, serving as head of the new division until a permanent Google Public Sector CEO is named. He brings deep domain experience in support of the new Google Public Sector division, helping customers across all levels of the U.S. government on their cloud initiatives and digital transformations.

Will also continues to lead Google Cloud’s Office of the CTO, a global team of technology executives and senior engineers who work hand-in-hand with Google’s largest customers to enable industry and category-defining transformations while also catalyzing Google’s approach to emergent imperatives like Web3, digital sovereignty and sustainability. He first joined Google in March 2015 as managing director of the group.

Before joining Google, Will spent a few decades as an entrepreneur, enterprise technology executive, and an investor, building and scaling technical platforms that today power commerce, transportation and the public sector. He’s been a developer, product manager, chief technology officer, senior engineering leader, founder and CEO of What’s Next Corp., and board director.

Will holds a bachelor’s of science degree in operations research from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a master’s of business administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He and his family reside in Austin, Texas.
