The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) is looking to test the technical capabilities of teams and individuals in its fifth annual 2024 President’s Cup Cyber Competition, where teams will be pitted against each other in a competition to recognize and reward some of the very best in the cybersecurity world.’
The competition, for which CISA is now accepting contestants, will host two different contests where individuals or groups of people can tackle challenges created by government agencies.
“Hosting challenges from across the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Cybersecurity Framework, competitors will face a diverse array of challenges and will require an extensive skill set to succeed,” stated CISA.
For the first time since the creation of the competition, contestants will be allowed to create teams across different government agencies as they vie to compete against one another.
Those seeking to compete in a group setting will have until Jan. 23 to register, while individuals will have until Feb. 6 to register. Successful competitors will be tasked with solving difficult cybersecurity challenges throughout various rounds through mid-April.
