On Thursday, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that the United States would not be able to partner or share information with countries that adopt Huawei technology. In an interview with Fox Business, Sec. Pompeo said that they were “not going to put American information at risk.” The statements come after months of global scrutiny and a series of U.S. sanctions against the technology company. “If a country adopts this and puts it in some of their critical information systems, we won’t be able to share information with them. We won’t be able to work alongside them,” Sec. Pompeo said.
