The Chief Human Capital Officers (CHCO) Council – which is composed of human capital leaders from many Federal agencies – has tapped Colleen Heller-Stein to serve as the council’s executive director, according to a recent LinkedIn post.

“After 14 wonderful years with the Department of the Treasury, I’m happy to share that I accepted a new challenge as executive director of the Chief Human Capital Officers Council at U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM),” said Heller-Stein.

“It’s been a whirlwind [in the past] few weeks as I work to get up to speed, but I’ve been thrilled to join such a dedicated, talented, and welcoming OPM team,” she added.

Prior to joining CHCO, Heller-Stein served in various roles at the Department of Treasury over an eight-year period. Some of these roles include deputy chief human capital officer, director of the Office of Human Resources, and acting deputy assistant secretary for human resources and chief human capital officer.

Additionally, Heller-Stein served in HR roles at the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Government Printing Office (GPO).

“I look forward to continuing to advance Human Capital management with CHCOs across the Federal government in this new role,” said Heller-Stein.
