As Federal agencies embark on their years-long transition to zero trust security architectures, the technologies feeding into network endpoint security loom large on the list of essential pillars upon which zero trust relies.

Join MeriTalk and Merlin Cyber on March 15 from 10 a.m to 11 a.m. for a virtual webinar to hear the latest on securing the device pillar both through existing Federal security programs and technologies that the zero trust push will bring on board.

Explaining what’s at stake – and how agencies can work to optimize device security – will be Richard Grabowski, acting manager of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (CISA) Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program. Fundamental to the success of the CDM program – and device security under zero trust architectures – are the endpoint detection and response technologies that the CDM program is installing throughout the Federal civilian government.

Joining Grabowski in the discussion will be Bryan Ware, president at Next5 and former assistant director for cybersecurity at CISA, along with Miguel Sian, VP of Technology at Merlin Cyber.

Discussion at the March 15 virtual event will build off of research findings from MeriTalk and Merlin Cyber consisting of more than 150 Federal cybersecurity executives and decision-makers. The study investigated the  impact of the Office of Management Budget’s (OMB) Federal Zero Trust Strategy, and provided agencies with a guide to execute the security plan.

The public and private-sector experts will also explore where device security ranks on agencies’ zero trust priorities, what’s next for device and endpoint security, and specific challenges that Federal agencies face in implementing device-related policies.

The March 15 webinar is the second in a four-part series focusing on zero trust security pillars – identity, device, network, application, and data. They will drill down on how Federal agencies are dealing with the priorities and challenges of executing the policy directive.
