Wireless communications industry trade group CTIA said this week it launched its cybersecurity certification program for cellular-connected Internet of Things (IoT) devices.  The group said the program was developed in collaboration with wireless service providers, and “will protect consumers and wireless infrastructure, while creating a more secure foundation for smart cities, connected cars, mHealth and other IoT applications.”  The program will begin accepting devices for certification testing starting in October.
