The Defense Digital Service (DDS) is seeking out a cloud-hosted Software as a Service (SaaS) to “improve, streamline, and automate its hiring process,” according to a Dec. 9 request for information (RFI).

In the RFI, DDS explains its goal to create a unified experience for potential candidates that reflects the agency’s innovative environment. The agency says that for many candidates, this hiring process is their only interaction with DDS and, therefore, the process should promote DDS values and standards.

“It is vital that the hiring process is designed well for those that are disappointed. The broader [Department of Defense] workforce will benefit from DDS providing internal applicants with actionable feedback identifying areas for professional development,” the document states.

The RFI describes a human resources (HR) platform that automates manual efforts. DDS describes platform that schedules interviews and tracks the status of submissions so that HR employees can spend more time on improving candidate experience. A seamless and positive application process, DDS states, engages top tier candidates.

DDS is accepting responses through Dec. 20.
