The Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate is hosting its 2017 Cyber Security Research and Development Showcase featuring more than 115 technologies.

The showcase, the Federal government’s largest cybersecurity training workshop, will run July 11-13 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C. Representatives from technology companies will present cybersecurity devices, techniques, and tools to an audience of government customers, chief information security officers, testing partners, and investors.

In addition to demonstrations, the event will feature government speakers, including Douglas Maughan, DHS S&T Cyber Security Division director, Melissa Ho, managing director of S&T’s Silicon Valley Innovation Program, and Vincent Sritapan, mobile security program manager of the Cyber Security Division. Robert Palmer, deputy chief technology officer of DHS, and Alma Cole, chief information security officer of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, will be speaking on a panel.

Additionally, academics and members of research institutions will attend the fifth annual event, which is hosted by the Cyber Security Division. The event originated as a principal investigator-only event in 2012.

More than 1,000 cybersecurity professionals will be in attendance to view the presentations, which represent a combined total of $250 million in research projects.
