In the face of increased public scrutiny and increased calls for Congressional oversight into the social media giant’s cybersecurity habits, Facebook has made quite a few new cybersecurity hires. Facebook has hired Robyn Greene as its new privacy policy manager on law enforcement access and data protection. Greene previously served as senior policy counsel at New America’s Open Technology institute. Facebook also hired Nate Cardozo to be a privacy policy manager for WhatsApp, which Facebook owns. Cardozo previously worked for the Electronic Frontier Foundation as its senior information security counsel. Nathan White, who previously was a senior legislative manager for Access Now, is now a privacy policy manager for Facebook. Rounding out the list of new hires is Bijan Madhani. Madhani previously was a senior policy counsel at the Computer & Communications Industry Association. He will now serve as a privacy and public policy manager for Facebook.
