Eric Goldstein, the executive assistant director for cybersecurity at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), stepped down from his role last month and announced on June 30 that he has landed at Capital One.

Jeff Greene – who joined CISA at the beginning of June after a two-year stint as the senior director of the Aspen Institute’s Cybersecurity Program – stepped into the leadership seat for CISA’s cyber division.

“Over the past 3 1/2 years, I had the privilege of leading CISA’s Cybersecurity Division – a period characterized by growth and progress as the organization doubled in size and implemented a focus on driving measurable outcomes,” Goldstein wrote on his LinkedIn. “I’m proud of the progress that we made – from Secure by Design to our efforts countering Volt Typhoon – but I’m proudest of the team that we led and built.”

Goldstein announced that he will now serve as the managing vice president and head of cyber risk at Capital One.

“I’m equally delighted to be starting the next phase in my journey at Capital One, where I’m joining an amazing team that is transforming the financial sector through innovation, scalable risk management, and a laser focus on customer experiences,” he said. “I’m looking forward to new perspectives while continuing on our shared mission of keeping our country’s critical services safe and resilient against cyber risks.”

CISA Senior Engineer Ross Foard also announced on June 30 that he is retiring from the Federal government after more than eight years at the agency.

“Yesterday I retired from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. It was a rewarding experience over the last 8 years, on par with the 8 years I spent as a US Navy submariner at the beginning of my career,” Foard wrote on his LinkedIn. “I have been honored to serve as an subject expert and elevate Identity and Access Management and cryptographic capabilities across the federal civilian executive branch (FCEB) and beyond.”

“Any achievements were collaborations with many dedicated industry and government professionals dedicated to serving the American People,” he added.
