The General Services Administration (GSA) on October 7 released a request for information for vendors and other interested parties on “resource-efficient technologies that improve commercial building health and resilience.”
GSA – which manages more than 370 million square feet of workspace for 1.1 million Federal employees – issued the RFI in collaboration with the Department of Energy (DoE). It invites tech providers to submit information about products that are nearly ready for commercial use or in the early stages of commercial application. Submissions will be considered for inclusion in GSA’s Proving Ground program for Federally-owned facilities, and DoE’s partnership programs for privately-owned facilities.
In particular, the agencies want to hear about technology that “extend passive survivability and support continuity of operations during grid disruptions,” integrated solutions that manage indoor air quality without compromising energy efficiency, and U.S.-made technology that supports photovoltaic electricity production.
The RFI is open for submissions until Dec. 4.
