The Naval Research Laboratory issued a request for proposal on Tuesday for “Advanced Secure Information Processing,” which will provide scientific and engineering support for research and development of IT platforms, data management techniques, algorithms, software development, and experiment and field trials. The solicitation intends to award a potential five-year, $10 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for small businesses only. The contract will support the Navy’s Operational Planning Tool, a collaborative, cloud-based mission planning tool for future operations, and specifically develop technology to optimize radio frequency spectrum allocation. Responses to the RFP are due Oct. 12.
