The National Technical Information Service announced on April 10 that it has selected Booz Allen Hamilton as one of its initial partners for the Joint Venture Program.
The purpose of the JVP is to pair Federal agencies that accumulate massive amounts of data with organizations that can help them manage that data. NTIS selected Booz Allen alongside 34 other initial partners for this program.
This group of 35 companies, non-profit organizations, and research groups will compete for Federal big data projects. Through this program, Booz Allen and its fellow participants will address issues designated as Federal priority areas, such as big data, open data, open access, smart cities, Internet of Things, and cyber-physical systems.
In addition to helping agencies store data, the company’s team of 600 data scientists will also provide agencies with tools that can facilitate data sharing and analysis. Booz Allen will also incorporate partnerships with small businesses and academic institutions for their work with JVP.
