The Department of Veterans Affairs has launched a new mobile application called VA Launchpad to save veterans and caregivers time online.
“VA has developed dozens of apps for veterans to take charge of their healthcare. VA Launchpad makes it easier to have these important tools available at your fingertips,” VA Secretary Robert Wilkie said in a press release.
VA Launchpad for Veterans organizes various existing tools and combines them into a single location to better manage healthcare needs. Existing VA apps will be organized into five categories in the Launchpad identified as:
- Health management;
- Healthcare team communication;
- Vital health information sharing;
- Mental health improvement; and
- Quality of life improvement.
Other features of VA Launchpad allow users to book their own VA appointments, refill a VA prescription, and view or share their VA Electronic Health Record. The app will also include mental healthcare and personal improvement tool for users who are not enrolled in the VA healthcare services, according to the press release.
