The White House launched a new online portal–AI.gov–today to outline the Trump administration’s national artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives in a consolidated website.
The site focuses on AI-related policy and accomplishments throughout the Federal government and provides fact sheets, policies, resources, programs, and plans concerning upcoming Federal steps for AI developments.
“We look forward to continued advancements solidifying America’s position as the world leader in AI and ensuring this emerging technology is developed and applied for the benefit of the American people,” Deputy Assistant to the President for Technology Policy Michael Kratsios stated in a news release.
The portal’s launch follows last month’s White House executive order, the American AI Initiative, as well as the Trump administration’s FY2020 budget proposal, which allocates $850 million toward AI research and development across several agencies.
