Working beyond organizational boundaries and improving access to digital services is critical for IT modernization and the Biden-Harris administration’s Federal IT priorities.
“The truth is that tech cuts across all of the priorities in both good and bad ways,” said Director of Technology Transformation Services (TTS) at the General Services Administration (GSA) Dave Zvenyach. “This past year, we’ve all seen firsthand how technology can be an enabler of economic recovery and can improve the comprehensive pandemic response, but we’ve also learned how inequitable distribution of tech can magnify the digital divide in our country.”
Speaking at The New Agenda digital event today, Zvenyach spoke about the importance of access to digital services, and how the COVID-19 pandemic increasingly proved that Federal agencies cannot operate in isolation from one another.
Further, Zvenyach discussed TTS working with partners to provide security in cloud-based environments and improve accessibility.
“More than ever, Federal workers need tools available to them that allow them to work where they need to, when they need to, and how they need to,” said Zvenyach. “As public servants work – especially now in a world of telework – they need to have trust in the security of their infrastructure.”
As a final note, Zvenyach said that he was “exploring all opportunities for collaboration” and that working with both the CIOs and programs to satisfy the full lifecycle of technology from idea to commodity.
