The General Services Administration (GSA) is issuing an advance notice for schedule contractors for a Mass Modification (Mass Mod) that will update their contracts to the parameters of the new consolidated Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) for product, services, and solutions.

The Mass Mod will take effect beginning in January 2020, following the MAS that was released in October2019.

“The new single Schedule solicitation, which takes into account the more than 1,000 comments GSA received from industry during our RFI process, features a simplified format, streamlined terms and conditions, and new categories and Special Item Numbers (SINs),” the advance notice said. “This new format will make it easier for contractors to offer products, services, and solutions and for our agency partners to find them.”

Beginning in Jan., the new MAS will include:

  • Solicitation;
  • Available Offerings Summary Document;
  • One attachment for each Large Category; and
  • Regulations incorporated by reference.

To prepare for the Mass Mod, GSA will host webinars on Dec. 19, 2019 and Jan. 9, 2020. GSA also recommends contractors review the Mass Mod as soon as they receive it.

The deadline for schedule contractors to sign the Mass Mod is July 31, 2020, and their offerings will not be available on GSA eTools if they don’t respond by that date.
